Abe Vigoda's funeral was an absolute laugh riot! "The Godfather" and "Barney Miller" actor, who passed away on Jan. 26 at the age of 94, had a funeral service like no other thanks to close friend and comedian, Gilbert Gottfried, who had the crowd's sides splitting crowd in stitches with his jokes.

"Abe was so old, he had a Bible that was signed by the author," Gottfried said at the Riverside Memorial Chapel, New York City, according to Page Six.

"You know this is the 20th time we've buried Abe Vigoda," Gottfried quipped, referring to the false report of the actor's death decades ago.

Vigoda's funeral service was attended by the likes of former Mayor David Dinkins, Friars Club Roastmaster General Jeffrey Ross and Vigoda's "Godfather" co-star, Al Pacino, who wrote a heartfelt tribute to the late actor.

"I always loved Abe," Pacino wrote, according to New York Daily News." "He was there at the start for me. He was (a) gentle kind soul, which he projected in his art with such eloquence and of course his simple timing could not be improved upon."

The funeral service had a picture of Vigoda from "The Godfather" captioned with his final dialogue from the film: "Can you get me off the hook . . . for old times' sake?" Two NYPD officers escorted Vigoda's casket out of the chapel as "The Godfather" theme played in the background.

"His big wish was not to be alone and not to die alone," said the Vigoda's daughter, Carol Vigoda-Fuchs, according to CBS Local. "So I'm grateful he got what he wanted."
