While it's been a rough few months for Kristin Cavallari who was just injured in a car accident a few weeks ago and tragically lost her brother Michael in December, the fashion designer and mother of three is trying to have a positive outlook on life.

"Sorry-gonna get corny on u for a second," Cavallari, 29, captioned a photo of herself for her spring shoe collection on Instagram. "I dislocated my elbow in a car accident last week and because of that, and everything else I've been through in the past couple of months, I have such an appreciation for life. I am so thankful it wasn't worse, and more importantly that my babies weren't with me. My arm hurts like a bitch but I'm thankful because I have my arm!! Shot my spring shoe book today and even though I could barely move my arm, I am forever grateful for being there to shoot it."

Earlier this week, Cavallari, who is married to Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, let her fans know that she had dislocated her elbow in the car accident in which her vehicle was hit by another driver, as HNGN previously reported. She also sadly shared, "not being able to hold my baby is absolutely killing me."

"She's in a lot of pain. A Lot. Pain in her elbow," a source told E! News following the crash. "The saddest part is she can't hold the baby, and she's having a hard time breast feeding because of her injury. It's been really challenging...She's putting a smile on her face and doing her best to keep going, but it's not easy."

Shortly after she posted the photo of herself having a new appreciation for life, she posted an adorable photo of herself holding her 2-month-old baby girl Saylor. "Morning snuggles with my girl," she wrote. "First time I've been able to hold her up by myself in a week."
