Apple has released a minor update to its popular software update from back in September. iOS 7, which runs on iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch devices. iOS 7.0.4 includes bug fixes, security patches and a bevy of new features and software improvements, according to ZDNet.

The new update improves iCloud keychain, which was introduced back in the iOS 7.0.3 update and the latest version of the desktop software for Macs, OS X Mavericks. The cloud storage-based technology keeps the Safari browser's passwords and credit card data in sync across all of your Apple devices.

The second improvement to the system comes with the Spotlight feature on the device's internal search engine. Apple has reportedly brought back people's ability to search Google and Wikipedia from search results. These two features were taken away when Apple came out with the iOS 7 update originally.

The update also fixes a problem that was caused with the latest update to iOS 7 that caused problems for many while video chatting via FaceTime. The problem saw many users FaceTime video calls fail. As a result, ipods that are not able to be upgraded to iOS 7 have their own version of the upgrade called iOS 6.1.5.

All of these features from the software update apply to the new iPhone 5S, the iPhone 5C, the iPhone 5, the iPhone 4S, the iPad 2 and above and the fifth generation iPod Touch.

Users can get the update by going to their device's Settings menu, tapping General, then Software Updates and they should see the icon to download the latest software update to their Apple product's operating system.
