Kesha, the pop star best known for her dance-pop hits like "Tik Tok" and "Die Young," released a soulful cover of "Amazing Grace" on Monday as she waited a hearing in New York State Supreme Court to determine whether she could be released from her contract with Sony, People reported. The hearing was since postponed, prolonging the singer's legal battle with her record label.

"Good morning everybody," the 28-year-old pop star says in the clip posted to YouTube by fan Michael Eisele. "I love you guys more than you will ever know, like, mind-blowing. I can't put out new music, but I can sing a little something of something of someone else's songs or something that exists."

She went into a soulful rendition of "Amazing Grace," punctuated by her signature raspy vocals. Eisele announced a #FreeKesha protest outside of the courthouse on Tuesday, Jan. 26, but the protest and hearing never took place because it was rescheduled.

"I love everyone. Thank you for your support. Due to travel problems with the weather it's been postponed until feb 19," she wrote in the caption of the post of a heart drawn against a white piece of paper in black ink.

Kesha first filed a lawsuit against songwriter-producer Dr. Luke (real name Lukasz Gottwald) in October of 2014, in which she alleged that she endured years of abuse from him, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She accused Gottwald of drugging and raping her in numerous instances. The pop star asked to be released from her contract with Dr. Luke's record label Kemosabe Records, which is owned by Sony Music Entertainment, because she does not "feel safe in anyway" working with Dr. Luke.

Until a judge rules on Kesha's lawsuit, the pop star is not allowed to record or release new music.
