Controversial rhythm and blues crooner R. Kelly opened up about his opinion on Bill Cosby's sexual abuse allegations in a new, lengthy interview with GQ magazine. The "I Believe I Can Fly" singer gave a rare interview and discussed the allegations against Cosby, which mirror the allegations that have been brought forth against him over his career.

"Well, my opinion on that is, I don't know what happened," R. Kelly told GQ. "I'm a fan of Bill Cosby's from "The Bill Cosby Show," of course - who's not? - and for me to give my opinion on something that I have no idea if it's true or not, all I can say is that it was a long time ago. And when I look on TV and I see the 70-, 80-, 90-year-old ladies talking about what happened when they were 17, 18, or 19, there's something strange about it. That's my opinion. It's just strange."

Dozens of women have accused Cosby of sexual assault who recently faced charges for a 1965 incident against a 17-year-old girl who said she was sexually assaulted by Cosby at a Jazz Club in Hollywood and a 2008 incident with a 18-year-old who claimed she was drugged by Cosby at a party in the Playboy Mansion, as previously reported by HNGN.

He was acquitted of the charges because the statute of limitations expired on both allegations, according to NBC News.

Kelly faced backlash for his own alleged sexual relationships with minors, as previously reported by HNGN. He walked out of a recent interview with Huffington Post Live after he denied that his fans felt conflicted listening to his music because of those allegations.

"Since you're the one who brought it up, I'll say to you since I don't hear it from anyone else," Kelly said. "F--k that. I'm a man that believes what I see."
