Days after Ricky Gervais' Golden Globes joke on Caitlyn Jenner sparked outrage, the transgender reality star responded to the diss during an "I Am Cait" panel discussion at the Television Critics Association in Pasadena, Calif., according to Variety.

"On Ricky, I think what I'm gonna do is call the Golden Globes and see if they need a new host for next year," Jenner said on Thursday, according to Entertainment Weekly. "And we'll solve that problem."

In case you missed it, Gervais made fun of Jenner during his opening monologue at Sunday night's Golden Globe Awards. "I've changed. Not as much as Bruce Jenner, obviously. Now Caitlyn Jenner," he said, as HNGN previously reported, before adding how the reality star has become a role model for the transgender community and that he admired her bravery for "breaking down barriers and destroying stereotypes."

The comedian then went on to mock Jenner's February 2015 car accident that left one person dead. "She didn't do a lot for women drivers, but you can't have everything," he said, People reported.

Gervais received a lot of backlash on social media for his jokes, prompting him to defend what he said about the former Olympian. "Suggesting a joke about Caitlin Jenner is automatically transphobic is like suggesting a joke about Bill Cosby is automatically racist," the comedian tweeted on Tuesday.
