It's been common knowledge for some time that Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor will be the primary antagonist in Zack Snyder's "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice." But the most recent full-length trailer finally confirmed long gestating rumors about the physical "new threat" that emerges, forcing Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman to work together: Doomsday. While Luthor will match wits with the DC Trinity through his evil schemes, Doomsday will serve as the necessary muscle.

But recent rumors suggested that this iteration may not be the Doomsday fans know from the comics. Instead, this version may be a combination of Doomsday and another infamous Superman villain: Bizzaro. As it turns out, that rumor may not have been too far off, if recent accounts are to be believed.

Latino Review is reporting that Bizzaro will appear at some point in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" before becoming the villain of "Justice League: Part I." In the source material, Bizzaro is an evil clone of Superman.

Now, should we buy this new report?

Snyder recently said that "Justice League" will feature an even bigger enemy than "Batman V Superman." Though he said that before the recent trailer revealed Doomsday, it's hard to argue that Bizzaro meets those criteria. Though he is one of Superman's biggest adversaries in the comics, Bizzaro's lack of intelligence makes him relatively one-sided. It would be difficult to put him at the center of the epic two-part "Justice League" series. That role would be better suited for someone like Brainiac or Darkseid. Bizzaro simply is not compelling enough of a character to shoulder that load.

So take Latino Review's report with a grain of salt for now. Is it possible that Bizzaro shows up in "Batman V Superman?" Absolutely. But is it likely that this cameo will serve as his introduction as the main foe in "Justice League?" I find that harder to believe.

"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will arrive on March 25.
