Media mogul Rupert Murdoch has announced that he is now engaged to former supermodel Jerry Hall in an advertisement that was published in The Times of London on Tuesday.
"Mr Rupert Murdoch, father of Prudence, Elisabeth, Lachlan, James, Grace and Chloe Murdoch, and Miss Jerry Hall, mother of Elizabeth, James, Georgia and Gabriel Jagger, are delighted to announce their engagement," is what was written in the advertisement found in the newspaper's classified ads section.
"They have loved these past months together, are thrilled to be getting married and excited about their future," the Murdoch family's spokesperson told the publication.
Murdoch, who serves as co-executive chairperson at 21st Century Fox with son Lachlan, and Hall started dating last year after his sister and a niece first introduced them in Australia, and only went public with their relationship in October 2015, according to The New York Times.
Hall, also a former actress, was formerly married to Mick Jagger, the frontman of legendary rock group The Rolling Stones, for more than 20 years - although Jagger has said that the couple were never lawfully married during the divorce proceedings.
Murdoch, meanwhile, has been married a total of three times. He was last married to Wendi Ding, a former executive at Star TV. They divorced in 2013 after 14 years of marriage, according to Reuters.
