The New York Giants have already begun their search for their next head coach, and Giants offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo has already interviewed for the position, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports. The Giants are reportedly set to interview Jacksonville Jaguars assistant head coach Doug Marrone on Saturday, and Marrone looks to be one of the top candidates across the league, according to NFL reporter Ian Rapoport.

New York is also expected to meet with coveted Bears offensive coordinator Adam Gase, who is being sought by multiple teams around the league, according to Peter Schrager of Fox Sports. The team will still interview defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo on Friday, despite the Giants' poor performances on the defensive side of the ball this season. New York has not made the postseason since they won the Super Bowl in 2011, and with Tom Coughlin stepping down, the Giants are looking for the right candidate to replace him.

The Giants offense has clearly improved under offensive coordinator McAdoo, and finished the season ranked eighth in the NFL in terms of yards per game. Quarterback Eli Manning had arguably his best season of his career numbers-wise, with a career-high 35 touchdown passes to just seven interceptions. The major issue for the Giants is that their defense was awful this season, ranking dead last in the league in terms of yards allowed per game.

While the Giants clearly need a head coach that can return the team to prominence, they also need a coach that can help their defense immediately. All the blame clearly can't be put on Coughlin and Spagnuolo this offseason, as there was undoubtedly a lack of talent on the defensive side of the ball. The Giants likely will have plenty of more interviews to set up, and at this point there are no clear front-runners for the coveted head coaching position.
