A flock of sheep found themselves trapped during a flood in Cumbria, England Tuesday when the county was under 11 flood warnings with heavy rains belting the area, according to The Telegraph. The frightened sheep huddled together on a tiny patch of grass, surrounding by rising flood waters and unsure of what to do next.

Along came a sheep dog that knew exactly what to do. The border collie is a strong working dog and this one is no exception. He is seen on video swimming out to the flock and herding them off the safe spot they felt they had found, crossing two flooded areas before hitting dry ground and heading up the hill. The dog swam after the sheep in the deep, swift moving water and didn't rest until the sheep were saved, according to Sky News.

Under the farmer's guidance, the dog is seen obeying his owner to get the flock to safety. With an eye on the flock, the dog worked expertly, despite the conditions, until his job was complete.
