An animal sanctuary in Woodstock, N.Y., has made it its advocacy to help injured farm animals live a better life through fitting these animals with prosthetics.

Surrounded by the Catskill Mountains in the town made famous for peace and music, Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary provides shelter to cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, ducks, sheep, goats and rabbits that have been rescued from cases of abuse, neglect and abandonment, according to the sanctuary's website.

The Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary is currently home to 300 rescued farm animals, with each being fitted with the appropriate prosthetics they need in order to live life as normal as possible.

The organization was co-founded by Jenny Brown, who got prosthetic legs when she was 10. As a person who got first-hand experience on the benefits of prosthetics, she found it almost necessary to give that same help to farm animals.

Not all experts on prosthetics are willing to dedicate their expertise on animals, but thankfully, Brown's own clinician was interested and decided to use on animals the knowledge he has on prosthetic for humans. The animal sanctuary was also able to get support from a 3-D lab.

Brown and the rest of her team at the animal sanctuary showcase the different animals that have been lucky enough to get their prosthetic body parts in the video below:

As a result of the animal sanctuary's efforts, farm animals who have various physical disabilities now get to run, play and lead a relatively normal life, according to Venus Pets.
