Thunder remains undefeated in the tournament with three back-to-back victories. The Mike Hussey-led side secured a hat trick of victories for the first time in Big Bash League after registering a comfortable win over the Adelaide strikers on Monday, according to ABC.

Jacques Kallis (49 off 48 balls) and Andre Russell's superb bowling guided their side to a seven wicket victory over the Strikers at Sydney's Showgrounds.

Skipper Hussey credited coach Paddy Upton for his team's extraordinary performance.

"Sometimes in cricket we're a bit antiquated and we're a little bit stuck in 'This is how we've always done it' and the history and tradition of the game. But in T20 cricket, you've got a chance to think outside the box, do things a little bit differently, express yourself in slightly different ways. That's something that's really been encouraged by Paddy," he said, according to SBS.

The Hurricanes, who secured a 15-run win over the Brisbane Heat on Tuesday night, are aiming to continue their winning momentum in the tournament.

"Momentum-wise, obviously we had that shocking game in the first round so it's nice to get that bad one out of the way early and hopefully we'll keep winning," Hobarts batsman Dan Christian told AAP.
