A British jihadist has targeted the Internet's young users in his latest propaganda drive, using an encrypted messaging app to broadcast extremist lectures and, most interestingly, pictures of his cat Lucy, in an attempt to recruit school children to be members of the Islamic State, according to The Mirror.

The jihadist, 28-year-old Omar Hussain, used to be a security guard at Morrisons in High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire County, England. He has since fled the country, however, making the Syrian city of Raqqa the base of operations for his propaganda drive.

Though his posts in the Internet are usually riddled with the conventional hate messages that litter ISIS posts on social media and blogs, it's his posts with his pet cat that have attracted some attention lately. Hussain has uploaded a number of pictures featuring his pet Lucy, who could be seen lounging in a suicide belt and cuddling with a grenade, reports The Express.

The pictures were uploaded using Telegram, an encrypted messaging application. In between posts of his cat, Hussain has kept his message of hate extremely clear to the youngsters. One of his posts, titled "Hating the Kuffar," speaks about non-Muslims in the community.

"The 'kind' neighbour, the colleague at work, your boss, your son's school teacher, the postman, the bus driver, the cashier at the supermarket, that random woman who takes her dog out for a walk every morning to the park. All such people must be hated," he wrote in one of his posts, according to The Daily Mail.

Telegram has attempted to silence the voice of the Islamic State, taking down 78 accounts that were suspected of being linked to the Islamic State. Regardless of the company's efforts, however, the messaging app still continues to be used to broadcast the extremist group's propaganda.
