Germany's Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler really did only have one functioning testicle, according to a recent historical discovery.

"The testicle was probably stunted," Prof. Fleischman of Erlangen-Nuremberg University in Germany said, according to the Mirror. He also believed that Hitler might have suffered from an undescended testicle.

Hitler was examined by Dr. Josef Brinsteiner in 1923. While he was serving his prison sentence, his "right-side chryptorchidism" was uncovered following his failed Beer Hall Putsch.

This condition happens when one or both testicles fail to drop in during childhood, the Daily Mail reported.

At one point, Hitler's medical records were lost for decades. However, they reappeared through an auction held in 2010 and were stored in archives in Munich by Bavarian state authorities.

An old wartime song sung to the tune of Colonel Bogey suggested that Hitler only had one testicle, as stated in the original lyrics:

"Hitler has only got one ball,

Göring has two but very small,

Himmler has something sim'lar,

But poor old Goebbels has no balls at all!"

The song instigated a decades-long debate about whether or not Hitler's condition was true or simply part of the propagandists' way of making a mockery out of the famed dictator, according to Breitbart.

However, based on the medical records that have surfaced, the song might have proved to be correct all along.
