Google is reportedly looking to triple the number of people it has testing its Glass wearable eye-glass accessory before its official rollout of the device next year.

The company has announced on its Google+ page on Tuesday that it intends to offer each of its Glass Explorers, the company's name for those testing the prototype, will be able to invite three people to join the program. Those interested will still have to pay the company the $1,500 price tag for the device, but will be able to join the original 8,000 Glass testers, according to ComputerWorld.

The new testers won't have to travel to a Google base in San Francisco or New York to pick their device up like others have had to in the past. Glass can now be shipped directly to their homes.

"They'll be able to buy Glass online and can have it shipped to their home, office, treehouse or igloo," Google wrote in the post. "We're counting on you to get Glass to the people you think will make great Explorers. More Explorers means more feedback, and more feedback means better Glass."

Google also offered Glass Explorers the chance to exchange their prototypes for complete models once the Glass launches.

"We want to say 'thank you' for all the amazing feedback we've been getting, so later this year, all Explorers will have a one-time option to swap out their existing Glass for a new one," wrote Google. "This hardware update will allow your Glass to work with future lines of shades and prescription frames, and we'll also include a mono earbud."

This deal will not apply to the new Glass Explorers. So, if you know a friend who is a tester of the Google Glass prototype, this might be the time to start buttering him or her up.
