Vogue magazine, the go-to place for the latest and greatest trends in high-fashion, is taking a very rare dip into the world of technology by showcasing Google's new wearable augmented reality glasses in a 14-page editorial in which models will don outfits that match the wearable tech device.

In this year's encyclopedic September issue, the magazine's second-biggest issue in its history, models will attempt to answer the question that's been plaguing those interested in Google's new device since it was announced - "Can I still look good and wear the Google Glass?"

Photographed by Steven Klein, Mashable reports the spread is set on a deserted planet that has yet to be explored by humans. Robert Bruno's futuristic looking Steel Horse is the focal point of most of the photos. In addition to the glass, the models debut some new fall fashion choices in the issue.

This is one of the first time the Google Glass has been seen in a fashion setting. However, this is not the first time Google has been conscious of the appeal the product needs to have on the fashion front before people will feel OK with walking outside sporting the augmented reality glasses. Earlier this year the eyewear startup Warby Parker reportedly agreed to help Google design frames that can appeal to a more fashion conscious consumer base. If Google is able to succeed in its effort to make the Glass look like a sleek stylish accessory, it could be a great boon to its effort to make the Google Glass as popular as smartphones.

The September issue of Vogue is on shelves now, you can pick it up and take a look at the first attempt to put Google Glass in the realm of high fashion.
