Former NBA star Lamar Odom is struggling with memory loss on his road to recovery after he was found unresponsive at a Las Vegas brothel in a suspected drug overdose in October this year. Even though Khloè Kardashian revealed last month during an interview on the "Today" show that Odom could recover fully "mentally" in a year and a half, the 36-year-old still has a long way to go.

"He's not doing great," said a source, according to Entertainment Tonight. "His speech is still slurred and he can barely walk on his own yet. He forgets a lot of people's names - sometimes even his own. He definitely has some memory loss."

However, Odom has the support of the Kardashian family. "They all pop in to see him [at Ceders-Sinai Medical Center], including Khloè," the source said.

As HNGN previously reported, Khloè revealed on the "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" last month that Odom is "learning how to walk again and feed himself again and put sentences together." She said that Odom "is off of all machines that help his organs" but added that he has "a long, long road ahead."
