Developers at Samsung have released new details regarding its flagship Galaxy series, with multiple new features for the S7, according to Tech Crunch.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 will have a pressure sensitive display, which could be in response to Apple's announcement for the Apple 6S, which will also have a touch sensitive 3-D display.

The S7 will also have a high-speed charging port and the company is considering adding a retina scanner for a limited number of devices, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The charging port will supposedly have the ability to supply the device with a full day's charge in only 30 minutes.

There will also be a higher performing camera added that will be able to work better in lower lit settings, according to Engadget.

The camera should also be more incorporated with the design of the device, with the feature installed seamlessly into the back of the flat device, compared to the Galaxy S6 and its small "bump" where the camera was installed.

Samsung is looking to hold its place as a leader among brands, with a new smartphone chief put in charge.

However, some are saying the new models will not differ that much from last year's.
