Last night's episode of "Saturday Night Live" started off with a surprise trip from the past. "SNL" alum Will Ferrell returned to the show that made him famous and brought back one of his most beloved impressions to mock GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump: former President George W. Bush.

"I've made a big decision. I'm entering the race for president of the United States of America," said Ferrell's George W. in the show's cold open. "The field of Republicans out there is so messed up I figured it makes you miss me, doesn't it? And that's saying a lot."

The comedian then went down the list of Republican hopefuls including Beb Carson, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Carly Fiorina and even former President Bush's brother, Jeb Bush, who is also running.

"Poor Jeb," Ferrell told the audience as Bush. "You gotta admit, it's a pretty good plot twist that I turned out to be the smart one."

After he tackled the other GOP hopefuls, he finally got to "this knucklehead," Donald Trump. Unlike Trump, Bush said that he liked Mexican people and even called them his "amigos."

"I'll tell you something, whenever I get in a bad mood, I just picture his big, fat orange Oompa Loompa face and I just piss my pants," Ferrell's Bush stated.

Ferrell regularly portrayed the 43rd president in the early 2000s when he was a cast member and even reprised his impression of Bush in 2012 when he hosted an episode, according to E! News.

Last night's episode of "Saturday Night Live" was hosted by "In the Heart of the Sea" actor Chris Hemsworth and music guest Chance the Rapper. Next week's holiday themed episode will be hosted by a pair of "SNL" alumni, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, in anticipation of their new film "Sisters," as HNGN previously reported.
