A "Jeopardy" contestant named Talia tricked host Alex Trebek into saying "Turd Ferguson" during Wednesday's episode of the long-running game show, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Talia exchanged her earnings for the laughs that ensued from the audience when Trebek read her nod to Will Ferrell's throwback SNL sketch out loud.

Trebek introduced the final question, which was in the category titled "Oscar-nominated songs." In a clip from Wednesday's episode, he read the answer out loud, "This song from a 1999 animated film about censorship had a word censored from its Oscar performance."

Talia winged her response and instead of taking a stab at the correct question, she decided to play a little joke on Trebek instead, according to the New York Daily News. She wrote "What is the love ballad of Turd Ferguson p.s. hi mom," in a nod to the 1999 Will Ferrell SNL skit where the comedian posed as Trebek and hosted his own version of "Celebrity Jeopardy." In the sketch, actor Burt Reynolds (portrayed by Norm MacDonald) switched his name mid-game to Turd Ferguson for the comedic value.

Trebek read Talia's question in full, as he does for all final answers, and the audience laughed as he said "Turd Ferguson" out loud. He didn't break a sweat and continued on with his hosting duties.

"No, sorry, that's going to cost you whatever you risked and that's $600, taking you to zero," Trebek said.
