The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton debuted a shorter hairdo as she arrived at the ICAP 23rd annual Charity Day in London Wednesday alongside her husband, William, the Duke of Cambridge.

Princess Kate already had a fringe cut when she returned to work back in September, but her chestnut locks appear noticeably shorter as she arrived with her husband at the function, according to Yahoo! News.

The 32-year-old mother of two also stepped up her game in the fashion department, wearing a tailored teal dress, which she combined with a belted peplum jacket.

She accessorized her chic ensemble with a black suede clutch with matching heels of the same color. However, the duchess had actually worn this outfit before back in 2012, but she matched it with a gold-platted suede belt and a black hat, according to E! Online.

Explaining the duchess' new 'do, her hairdresser Richard Ward said: "It's easier and quicker to dry and style, which is good if you're a mum."

Ward added that if a hair is fine or damaged, there's no point in growing one's hair beyond a certain point. "Cutting off the dead ends won't make your hair look shorter, in fact having nice blunt ends will create the illusion it's thicker," he told the Mirror.
