Kate Middleton is not just a princess herself, but a mother to a prince and princess. Unlike her husband and future King of England, Kate grew up a commoner and wants her children to experience a normal childhood like she had.

The 33-year-old is not afraid to break royal traditions when it comes to her two young children, George and Charlotte. Like most two-year-olds, Prince George is full of energy and always on the go. The royal family was seen on the sidelines of Prince William's June 14 polo match where the mother/son duo stole the show. Veteran royal photographer Mark Stewart, who was at the match, commented on the young Prince in a statement made to PEOPLE, saying, "George seemed to be a handful-a live wire."

Middleton gave birth to daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana on May 2 but had no problem keeping up with the toddler. "She was running after him and making sure he was interacting with the other children," Stewart said. "She wasn't being precious with him - she wanted him to have a good old rough-and-tumble."

Middleton and her son have been seen playing in the common world more than the past member of the royal family. Kate and George were seen playing together in early June at a public park, where they were running around and playing on the playground together.
