Over the weekend, the British royal family released two brand new pictures of Princess Charlotte. The adorable photos of the six-month-old little princess were taken by her mother, Duchess Kate Middleton and were released through the Kensington Palace Twitter account.

The pictures were released to thank the public for all the warm messages about Princess Charlotte that the family had received since her birth in May. These two new photos were the first images released of Princess Charlotte since she was photographed in her mother's arms at her July christening, according to the Huffington PostKensington Palace also previously released pictures of Prince George holding his little sister in June. 

The photos of the youngest member of the royal family were taken in early November at the home of William and Kate in Norfolk. In the first image, Princess Charlotte is sitting in chair with a grin on her face. The second photo shows the six-month-old laughing at as she holds onto a stuffed animal. The photos reveal that Charlotte has brown hair and blue eyes, unlike her blond older brother, two-year-old George.

Back in July, Prince William gushed about his family and new daughter.

"She's been a little joy from heaven," he said of his daughter, according to Us Weekly. "But at the same time, it's a lot more responsibility, looking after two little ones, especially when George is around. He's a little monkey."
