Warning: The following contains possible spoilers for AMC's "The Walking Dead."

If you've been following along with our "The Walking Dead" spoilers, than you probably noticed that the season six mid-season finale didn't go down exactly as we thought. Thanks to The Spoiling Dead Fans, who have a solid track record of accuracy, we thought we knew precisely what we were getting. However, much of the explosive action and many of the character deaths we were expecting did not come to fruition.

Now, though, it sounds as if the mid-season premiere will be the jump off point for "The Walking Dead's" major changes. Remember, "The Walking Dead" left us dangling with Rick, Carl, Jessie, Ron, Sam, etc. covered in Walker guts strolling through the horde that had entered Alexandria. Sam, being the idiotic little kid that he is, begins to open his big mouth calling for his mommy. Undoubtedly, this is what leads the horde to realize that our heroes are food and not fellow undead zombies.

At this moment, all hell is going to break loose and Rick's brief romantic fling in Alexandria will come to a violent and bloody end. With Alexandria overrun by Walkers and most of the town's inhabitants becoming zombie chow, it will be interesting to see what direction "The Walking Dead" takes. As we saw in the post-credits scene, the Saviors are beginning to make their presence felt more and iconic comic book villain Negan is coming in the form of Jeffrey Dean Morgan. There is plenty to be excited about.

"The Walking Dead" will return for the second half of season six on Feb. 14.
