To recap the above in case you don't want to read it all: it sounds as if Dwight seemingly shoots Daryl during a rescue mission. Does this mean Daryl dies this season?

Daryl has long been the source of death rumors and speculation for rabid fans of the show, and we know that Dwight, who was introduced as a good-ish guy, becomes Negan's right-hand man. However, as the post notes, the scene could be made to look like Daryl is shot when in reality someone else takes the bullet. As we saw with Glenn this past season, apparent deaths are greatly exaggerated.

Given the amount of time before this episode will even air, it wouldn't be a surprise to see major details change between now and then. But for now, let's all hope Daryl is OK.

"The Walking Dead" will return on Feb. 14.
