Buffalo, N.Y. is about to make another snow record, but this time, it will be for an apparent lack of snow, according to the New York Daily News.

The upstate New Yorkers have had a 116-year record for when snow falls. The latest snow has ever come to the city was on Dec. 3, which was way back in 1899.

Tthere was no snow by Friday, Dec. 4, breaking the long held record.

National Weather Service meteorologists claim that the record will not only be broken, but will likely be "shattered," as a decent snowfall isn't expected to come to the city until mid-December, Fox News reported.

This year is a stark contrast to last year, when parts of the city of Buffalo and surrounding areas saw upwards of seven feet of snow by November. It was so bad that people and the media began dubbing the even as the "Snowvember" storm.

The city receives snow by Nov. 8 on average, so the long wait is almost too good to be true for some residents, according to the Daily Mail.

"I'm loving it. I hope it stays this way," said Ken Waterman, a local in the area. "'Last winter was so brutal. My heat bill is next to nothing so far this year. Getting around is easy, there's no accidents to speak of."
