Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy reportedly missed curfew Wednesday night prior to their game against the Detroit Lions, according to NFL reporter Ian Rapoport.

While Lacy was reportedly late for curfew the night before their game, head coach Mike McCarthy said that nothing happened last week with Lacy and that leading up to the game, they had made an internal football decision, according to Weston Hodkiewicz of the Press-Gazette Media.

Packers running back James Starks started against Detroit on Thursday and struggled to earn any significant yards. Starks rushed for 15 yards and managed just 1.7 yards per carry. Lacy was coming off back-to-back 100 rushing yard performances prior to Thursday's game and only saw five carries for four yards against the Lions.

The Packers have reportedly worked out former Denver Broncos running back Montee Ball, according to ESPN's Field Yates. While their is no guarantee the Packers signed Ball, the fact that they are working him out shows that McCarthy and the Packers coaching staff is trying to solve their backfield issues.

Lacy was expected to be one of the more dominating running backs in the league this season, and after rushing for over 1,100 yards in both of his first two seasons, he has struggled with just 517 rushing yards this year.

The Packers enjoyed their unbelievable Hail Mary win over the Lions, but they will need to figure out their ground game, as they will need consistency if they want to compete in the postseason. Lacy has shown glimpses of his dominating running style this year, but it has been to far and few between for the Packers top running back.

The Packers face the Dallas Cowboys in their next game, and it will be interesting to see how many snaps McCarthy gives Lacy during that game. The Packers are currently competing for a playoff spot in the NFC North, but they will need to find a strong ground game if they want to contend come this postseason.
