Public Enemy were driven to their concert by a fan after their cab failed to show up. The group was slated to perform a concert in Sheffield, England with The Prodigy on Saturday, but Chuck D and Flavor Flav were left without a ride when the taxi that was supposed to pick them up from a record signing before the event did not turn up, according to Billboard.

As luck would have it, a fan of the hip-hop group came to their rescue and helped them out by driving them to the gig. Kevin Wells, who had attended Public Enemy's record signing, offered to give the guys a lift to the Motorpoint Arena in his Ford Focus.

The group squeezed in as Wells drove them to the concert, arriving just 15 minutes before they were scheduled to perform.

"It was very, very surreal," Wells said, according to The Guardian. "We all walked to the car - Flavor Flav, Chuck D and two of their entourage - and they all just piled in. I'm local to Sheffield so I know all the back streets to get there pretty sharpish so I didn't feel too tense. I knew I could get them there in time."

Wells said as they were en route to the concert venue, Bohemian Rhapsody came on the radio and, "Everyone was singing the words and rocking out in the back of my car, it was like a Wayne's World moment," according to The Sheffield Star.

"I was looking in the rear view mirror thinking, 'is this actually happening?'" he said, before adding that security didn't believe him when he told them he had Public Enemy in the back of the car, so Chuck D showed them their security pass before they let the car through.

Wells snapped an epic selfie with Public Enemy in his car and shared it on social media the next day. Check it out below:
