Lil Wayne announced tour dates for his upcoming 2016 tour, "The Dedication," Rolling Stone reported. The tour features 19 dates in cities that the hip-hop artist has neglected to visit during his past tours, and he's bringing along trap hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd as openers.
"The Dedication Tour is a personal thank you from Lil Wayne dedicated to all of his fans in cities he has rarely visited on his past tour runs," read a press release obtained by Billboard.
The tour kicks off on Jan. 21 in El Paso, Texas, at the El Paso County Coliseum, winding through Southern and Midwestern states like Louisiana, Michigan and Ohio, according to Entertainment Weekly. The final stop is on March 6 in Lincoln, Neb., at the Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Citi card members and Tidal subscribers will be able to purchase tickets via a pre-sale on Dec. 2 at noon. Live Nation app users have second dibs on tickets during a pre-sale on Dec. 3 at noon, and tickets go on sale on Dec. 4 to the general public via Live Nation.
Wayne just released his new mix tape "No Ceilings 2" on Thanksgiving despite a legal battle with his former record label, Cash Money. His newest release features appearances by fellow hip-hop artist Future, Yo Gotti, Jae Millz and Wayne's former Hot Boys group mate Turk.
