Last night, Erykah Badu hosted the 2015 Soul Train Awards, and as soon as the show started, she took aim at Iggy Azalea, one of hip-hop's most controversial stars. During her opening monologue, Badu talked about keeping the Soul Train Awards about R&B music and not rap. She then set up the diss of Azalea by making fun of herself first.

"As you know, I am the queen of neo soul and people say I have this common effect on rappers: that I make them change gods and wear crochet hats, shoulder pads," said Badu, according to Entertainment Tonight. "So they have banned me from all of the hip-hop awards with a sign saying 'Erykah Badu, leave our rappers alone.'"

Badu then pretended to take a phone, which set up her joke about the Australian rapper.

"Who is this? Iggy Azalea? Yeah, hey! No, no, no, no, no, no, no! You can come," she said. "'Cause what you're doing is definitely not rap."

The 25-year-old "Fancy" rapper has not yet responded to Badu's remarks, but Badu continued to defend her joke on Twitter.

"Life would be wonderful if women celebrated each other instead of emulating garbage like @fatbellybella," a Twitter user defended Azalea. "You have my support @IGGYAZALEA."

"Kill joy," Badu responded.
