South Korean rapper PSY, who was responsible for the hit dance phenomenon "Gangnam Style" is set to release his first album since becoming an international sensation with the most-viewed YouTube video ever.

The album will be called "Chiljip PSY-DA," which translates to "This Is PSY's Seventh Album," and will be his first album since 2012, when "Gangnam Style" took the world by storm, according to The Associated Press. This comes about a year and a half after the release of his single "Gentleman" and will include songs of all types of genres including dance music, hip-hop and punk.

"There were many thoughts going around in my head, including thoughts like, 'If I write like this, it would not be as good as Gangnam Style,' and 'If I write like this, the international audience will not understand,' so it took me a very long time to organize all those thoughts into one," he said at a news conference on Monday.

As popular as the song may have been, the 37-year-old singer has admitted that he's struggled with its success. He understands he may never be able to repeat that type of global phenomenon success and is content with being "just another K-pop artist," according to Telegraph. The video on YouTube currently has 2.46 billion views. When asked if he anticipates another hit, he said, "No chance. I don't think something like 'Gangnam Style' will ever happen again. The sheer weight of Gangnam was so heavy; I don't even go to Gangnam anymore."

This album comes three years and five months after his sixth album "Psy 6-Gap," which featured "Gangnam Style."

"It's been too long," he continued to say at the press conference, according to The Straits Times. "Maybe it was pressure, maybe it was stress. I kept thinking, 'This won't do as well as Gangnam...or if I changed it, 'overseas fans wouldn't understand this.' With every line I wrote, there were voices fighting in my head, and it took a while to get them all sorted out."

"Chiljip PSY-DA" will be released Tuesday Dec. 1.
