"Jurassic World" may already have their leading men in mind to star in the upcoming sequel.

Rumor has it the film's, previously titled "Jurassic Park 4," production team is looking at "Pacific Rim" actor Idris Elba, according to JurassicWorld-Movie.com

However, don't get to excited about the news, seeing as though neither Elba nor the "Jurassic World" camp have confirmed his casting since the film is still in its early stages of development.

Elba is another actor that joins the list of rumored cast members.  According to Deadline.com, 12-year-old Ty Simpkins has landed a "lead" role in the upcoming flick.

"Despite the fact I probably have food in the freezer older than this young actor, Simpkins has worked before with producer Steven Spielberg, who is producing with Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley," Deadline reports.  "DeSimpkins made his feature debut in the Spielberg-directed 'War Of The Worlds,' opposite Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning.  Last year, Simpkins starred in the genre smash Insidious, and reprises in the sequel. His other credits include 'Revolutionary Road,' 'Pride And Glory,' and the Kate Winslet-starrer 'Little Children.'"

Variety adds to the rumor mills with their report of Bryce Dallas Howard being in the running  for a role as well.

"The studio had been looking at Dallas Howard for some time, which Variety first reported in May," Variety reports.  "With the studio now setting a June 12, 2015 release date for the Jurassic Park sequel, Universal has returned to Howard with offers.  The studio has one more big role to cast before moving forward in the pre-production."

Another Variety report said "MIB III" actor Josh Brolin was being looked at before the production was delayed to rewrite the script.

Colin Trevorrow is the director of "Jurassic World," which he co-wrote with Derek Connolly.  The movie will be shot in 3-D and is set to be released on June 12, 2015.
