St. Louis Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey is out of surgery, and is expected to be in the Intensive Care Unit for three to five days, according to NFL reporter Ian Rapoport. Doctors are reportedly hopeful of Bailey's condition and recovery, according to Rapoport.

Rams head coach Jeff Fisher has announced that Bailey underwent surgery for between four to six hours, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Bailey was reportedly shot in the head twice and his relative Antwan Reeves was also injured in Miami on Tuesday evening, according to Rapoport. Bailey was in a car with Reeves and three others including two children when a drive-by-shooter opened fire on the car, according to Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald.

The Miami Gardens Police Department released a statement regarding the incident, as can be seen below in a tweet from Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports.

Reeves was in the driver seat and is in stable but critical condition, according to a separate statement from police.

Stedman is currently serving a four game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. The 25-year-old wide receiver is in his third season in the NFL, and was the fifth leading receiver for the Rams this season.
