The Rangpur Riders will take on the Sylhet Super Stars in the ninth match of the 2015 Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Thursday at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.

The Syhlet Syper Stars were narrowly defeated by the Barisal Bulls in their last game on Tuesday. Al-Amin Hossain's five-wicket haul in the T20 helped the Bulls to register a one-run victory over the Super Stars, according to The Daily Star. Al-Amin also grabbed the first hat-trick of the third edition of the Bangladesh Premier League.

The Riders will be looking to bounce back in the tournament after losing their previous match against the Barisal Bulls. The Shakib Al Hasan-led side began their league campaign with a thrilling victory against the Chittagong Vikings on Sunday, but they failed to chase a meagre total of 155 against the Bulls in their second match, according to bdnews24. The Bulls defeated the Riders by 13 runs.

The third edition of thee highly popular and equally controversial 2015 BPL kicked off last week.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced Tuesday an investigation after Chittagong Vikings skipper and Bangladesh national team opener Tamim Iqbal alleged that he had been verbally abused during a match in Dhaka Cricket Stadium.

"You should respect a national team player. You may have money but that does not mean you will treat a national player like a beggar," Tamim said on the incident, according to Prothom Alo.
