Since retiring from Major League Baseball, Derek Jeter has kept a pretty low profile. Aside from starting The Players' Tribune and getting engaged to his long-time girlfriend Hannah Davis, Jeter hasn't really been in the news all that much. The one thing about Jeter is you never really hear negative things about him at all, but now he is being sued by an underwear brand that claims he backed out of an agreement and cost them a significant amount of money. And oh yeah, 50 Cent is involved, according to TMZ Sports.

Frigo RevolutionWear claims in the lawsuit that Jeter initially had a deal with it to promote its fancy male underwear line but he backed out when 50 Cent was brought on because 50 Cent would make the company "too urban." The lawsuit was filed in Sweden and claims that because Jeter backed out it cost the company around $30 million.

The lawsuit states that Jeter signed a three-year deal with the company in 2011 and agreed to attend and participate in the public events. In 2013, though, Jeter allegedly told Frigo that he did not want his involvement with the company made public for its launch in the United States.

As a result of Jeter not wanting his affiliation with the company made public, majority owner Mathias Ingvarsson decided to bring on 50 Cent to basically take his spot, a decision Jeter was allegedly none too happy about. Despite the fact that the lawsuit claims Jeter cost the company $30 million, Ingvarsson is only asking Jeter to pay $4.7 million to end the dispute. The next step in this case appears to be arbitration, which is the method Ingvarsson prefers, meaning the details will not be made public.

Since Jeter allegedly made the "too urban" comments, Frigo has continued further in that direction as the company has also brought on New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony and super producer Timbaland as brand reps. Jeter has yet to make a public statement regarding the lawsuit, but 50 Cent took to his Instagram to take a shot at Jeter joking that he was switching from a Yankees fan to a Mets fan.
