Do you have an excess of ugly Christmas sweaters you haven't worn for years? Are you thinking of clearing them out of your closet soon? There's no reason to throw them away because you can repurpose the sweaters as beds for cats and dogs!

You will need:

Ugly, old and barely used sweater

Foam or padding (you can use old socks or shirts)

Zipper *optional

Sewing kit or machine (use glue gun as alternative)

Procedure:

1) Fill the sweater with the padding.

2) Sew the openings at the neck and the waist. If you would like to have access to the padding to clean or change it, you could add a zipper to one of the openings.

3) Once the openings are secure, wrap the sweater's arms around the pad to form it into a donut shape. Cuff one side onto the other and then secure by sewing or gluing with a glue gun.

If you don't have any pets, but you have plenty of sweaters to use, you can still make the pet beds and donate them to animal shelters of your choice or a local organization. You could look to look into Shelter Dog Bed Project, Animal Human Society or Feet and Paws Fitness.
