As the world prepares for Adele to drop her highly-anticipated new album, "25," on Friday, the "Hello" singer has released a tease of a new song called "When We Were Young." In a preview for her upcoming appearance on "60 Minutes," the Grammy Award-winning artist sung the ballad live for the news program.

In the clip, Adele practices the new song in front of a band and backup singers.

"Oh, I'm so mad I'm getting old - it makes me reckless," she sang as the song came to a close. "It was just like a movie. It was just like a song when we were young."

"It's a whole new me," she said as she finished singing the song.

Adele recently described recording "When We Were Young" with singer-songwriter Tobias Jesso Jr., in an interview with SiriusXM.

"Tobias is my favorite. We got on so amazingly well, he's such a nice guy. We wrote this song together called 'When We Were Young,' at the most insane house in L.A. on Phillip Glass' piano. [When We Were Young]'s got a very '70s singer-songwriter vibe which I'm totally inspired by - that's also Tobias' vibe as well," she said of the song.

Adele will come to the U.S. later this month for a handful of appearances, as HNGN previously reported. She will perform at Radio City Music Hall on Nov. 17, and the performance will be taped for another broadcast titled "Adele Live in New York City," and will air on Dec. 14 on NBC. She will also be the musical guest on the Nov. 21 episode of "Saturday Night Live," the Nov. 23 "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and "Today" on Nov. 25.

Her third album, "25" comes out Nov. 20.
