Billboard has released its "Greatest Of All Time" list for the very first time. Using data charted by the music authority for many decades, the magazine has ranked Adele's "21" album as its top album choice and the Beatles as the top artist, according to their website.

Billboard's ranking covers charts from 1963 to the current year. Adele's "21," which came out in 2011, spent 78 weeks in the top 10 ranking and is still going strong for 245 weeks, according to WXRT CBS Local. Adele is also the lone female artist to set a record for longest stay at the number one position at 24 weeks.

Following "21" in the ranking is the soundtrack for "The Sound of Music," while Michael Jackson's "Thriller" is at number three. The rest of the top 10 for this category include:

4) "Fearless" by Taylor Swift

5) "Born in the U.S.A" by Bruce Springsteen

6) "Ropin' The Wind" by Garth Brooks

7) "Jagged Little Pill" by Alanis Morissette

8) "Doctor Zhivago" soundtrack

9) "All The Right Reasons" by Nickelback

10) "Tapestry" by Carol King

Meanwhile, Billboard ranks The Beatles as its top all-time act with 19 number one albums in the chart. Five of these albums are in the all-time greatest list. The rest of the top 10 artists in this category are:
