TLC announced the premiere date of its upcoming reality series "Married By Mom and Dad," a show with a new take on an old tradition. In the series, to premiere on Sunday Dec. 13, four adult children place their dating and love life into the hands of their parents to set up a voluntary arranged marriage, according to a TLC press release.

Four sets of parents will go through a meticulous meeting and screening process as they wade through a pool of potential spouses for their sons and daughters. Mom and Dad will be on hand when their children meet their partners for the first time, and cameras follow along as the couples get to know one another and plan their nuptials.

Mitch Sargent is a 30-year-old certified level two sommelier and full-time wine salesman from Los Angeles who has a hard time meeting the perfect girl in the city. Marivic Febiar, from Valley Cottage, N.Y., is a 34-year-old full-time nurse who trusts her traditional Filipino parents with finding her mate. John Coultrip, from Denver,  just turned 31 and is ready to settle down. Christina Rollyson recently relocated from Charleston, W.Va., to Charleston, S.C., to open a travel business and the 33-year-old needs help finding someone to settle down with.

In a sneak peek for the upcoming season, the vetting process is captured on film as parents ask a potential candidate personal questions like "Do you have outstanding debts? Are you a shopper? What are your sexual expectations?"

But it seems like not every couple will make it down the aisle. Another clip shows Rollyson sitting on a couch and someone off-camera asks her, "So, did he back out or did you?"

Watch the sneak peek below and be sure to catch the season premiere of "Married By Mom and Dad" on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 10 p.m. on TLC.
