Maria Portokalos told her daughters every day growing up that they must get married. The shoe is on the other foot now in the upcoming sequel to 2002's "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" when the family matriarch learns she and her husband are not officially married due to a clerical error.

The first trailer for "My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2," starring Nia Vardalos and John Corbett, premiered on Wednesday morning on the "Today" show and everyone is back for another walk down the aisle with the Portokalos family. Maria (Lainie Kazan) and her husband Gus (Michael Constantine) must wed again, but the bride is getting cold feet.

"Who says a woman has to be married," Maria asks her family.

"You. All our lives," her daughter Toula (Vardalos) answers.

Aside from her mother's wedding problems, Toula and her husband Ian (Corbett) also have a teenage daughter, Paris (Elena Kampouris) who is as determined to flee from her big Greek family as her mother was all those years ago. Toula can't understand why her daughter would apply to colleges out of state, but her father Gus has one word for it - "Payback."
