"Star Wars" fans have known for quite some time now that Andy Serkis will be playing a motion capture character by the name of Supreme Leader Snoke in J.J. Abrams' "The Force Awakens." Snoke is rumored to be the leader of The First Order and the master of Adam Driver's Kylo Ren and is possibly a Dark Sider Force user. But with five weeks to go until "The Force Awakens" actually hits theaters, we still have no idea what he looks like. To this point, Disney and Lucasfilm have done a good job of keeping several characters and plot points shrouded in mystery.

But Indie Revolver recently got their hands on some concept art for the character and shared it with the world. While the outlet does caution that this is merely concept art and that the design could have been changed, they do say that this is the basic layout for Snoke. Even if his appearance is different in the final product, it's interesting to see the early stages of development for his character.

Snoke appears to be a reptilian creature though he walks on two legs. He dons familiar dark robes that have been associated with Dark Sider rulers since the original trilogy.  We know that Kylo Ren is not a Sith, but it is unknown what Snoke's origins are or where he draws his power from.

Serkis's Snoke was heard narrating the first teaser trailer in which he said: "There's been an awakening. Have you felt it? The Dark Side...and the Light." These lines have led many to believe that he is very much in tune with the Force.

How he uses his abilities and what his motivations are, however, remain to be seen. We'll just have to wait to find all that out.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" hits theaters on Dec. 18.
