"Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling has been revealing secrets about her book series ever since the final book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," was released in 2007. While most "Harry Potter" fans love all the new canon that the author has revealed over the years, Stephen Colbert said he was not a fan of all the new information.

Recently, Rowling revealed that the word "Muggle" is only used in the United Kingdom, where the "Harry Potter" series takes place. In the upcoming "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" film that was written by Rowling and takes place in the United States, wizards use the term "No-Maj" to describe people with no magical abilities, as HNGN previously reported. Some other examples of new information that "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" host used was the revelation that Dumbledore was gay and that the "T" in Voldemort is actually silent.

Colbert said all the new "Harry Potter" related news had his "invisibility cloak in a bunch." He then pulled out his "Cauldron of Spoilers" and revealed all of Rowling's "future 'Harry Potter' bombshells" before she could.

Colbert made some bold predictions that included what Snape's name is short for and that Rupert Murdoch bought the wizard newspaper, The Daily Prophet.

"Once Harry Potter got drunk on butterbeer and tried to make-out with his own patronus. That's pretty weird stuff," Colbert said.
