A lot of political candidates have had a hard time finding a good popular song to use for the presidential campaign. "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert and actor Jack Black, who is also the frontman of Tenacious D, came up with a solution and hoped to terminate the problem by creating their own anthem that any political candidate could use.

GOP candidates tried to use songs by Neil Young, R.E.M. and Aerosmith this campaign season, all without luck. Past candidates like John McCain, Sarah Palin and Scott Walker also tried to use songs by the Foo Fighters, Jackson Browne, Heart and John Mellencamp with no luck as well, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"To resolve this issue, I've written my own pop anthem that's free for any candidate to use," Colbert announced Wednesday night on "The Late Show." "It's generic enough not to offend anyone, but generic enough to be loved by everyone."

The song titled "My Kind of America" was all about what makes America great. Thing like "blue jeans and rock 'n' roll, trucks, apple pie" and "Quaker Oats and motor boats, football spikes and bagel bites."
