Two more victims were found since a dam in a mining waste area in Brazil burst on Friday, which was previously reported on by HNGN. There are still 28 people missing from the disaster.

The disaster occurred in Minas Gerais, located in the southeastern part of Brazil, which affected residents of Bento Rodrigues. The rescue operation is still ongoing with the aid of dogs and other special equipment.

Residents of Brazil want the regulations of the mining industry in their country to be reviewed after the incident. State Governor Fernando Pimentel said the present mandates are not enough.

"We have to learn the lessons of this accident," Pimentel said, according to Reuters. "Obviously, this wasn't enough."

Among the missing, 13 are workers of the mine. Mayor Duarte Junior of the nearby city of Mariana believes the death toll will continue to rise.

"The death toll will rise for sure ... The number of missing will rise because we're talking to the residents of Bento [Rodrigues] and some people still aren't accounted for," Junior said, according to ABC. "What we're seeing is maybe three to six people, at the most 10 people, who are missing from Bento."

Responsible for the mine is BHP Billiton, whose boss will arrive in Brazil to verify the disastrous results himself on Monday. BHP Chief Executive Andrew Mackenzie will meet mine heads and authorities of local areas affected by the disaster.

"At this time, there is no confirmation of the causes of the [dam collapse]," the company said in a statement, according to the Guardian. "BHP Billiton has offered its full support to help the immediate rescue efforts and to assist with the investigation."
