IGN held a panel at the New York Comic Con that was entirely dedicated to Rockstar Games latest triumph  "Grand Theft Auto V." Among the panelists were the three voices of the game's protagonists and one of them hinted at a project with another character from the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise.

At the Comic Con panel, Greg Miller moderated a discussion between Shawn 'Solo' Fonteno (Franklin Clinton), Ned Luke (Michael De Santa) and Steven Ogg (Trevor Phillips). Things reportedly got really exciting when the actors were each asked which character from the previous games they would have loved to have voiced.

Fonteno answered that he would have liked to play the "Grant Theft Auto: San Andreas" CJ Johnson. While he may have been Fonteno's dream role, he said that he's not too bummed about it because him and Young Malay, who did the voice of CJ, are currently working on a project together. When Greg Miller pressed him on what exactly that project was, he skillfully dodged the question

Although Fonteno has confessed nothing, his announcement has made many believe that CJ could be returning to the "Grand Theft Auto" world of Los Santos. Perhaps he'll be included in the first ever DLC content for "Grand Theft Auto V." This would not be the first time the franchise has come out with expansions to a game or small episodic stories. For example, "GTA IV" had "The Ballad of Gay Tony."

CJ's story ended with him getting his revenge in the early '90s and finding himself a very rich man. If he popped up in the new game in 2013, he'd be much older and a significantly different character than he was in his PS2-era game.

There have been hints to CJ's existence in the current game. The biggest is the inclusion of Grove Street, the cul-de-sac where he lived, exists in the game although his house is gone and a new resident lives there.
