Rockstar Games has been riding the success of its latest game release "Grand Theft Auto V." The game release last month for PS3 and Xbox 360 and has been making waves with the launch of its multiplayer "GTA Online" variant that launched at the beginning of October. Since its release, many have been wondering when the title will be released for PC. Now people might just have their answer.

Eurogamer quotes "multiple industry sources" that have indicated the open world game will come out for PC in the first quarter of 2014. This mirrors the release of the game's predecessor "Grand Theft Auto IV" which released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in April of 2008 before launching on PC in December of that year.

The report mentions something Chris Evenden, Nvidia's senior director of investor relations, said in an interview back in August.

"[PC] gamers are preparing their systems for a strong roster of games coming this fall, including blockbuster franchises such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, Grand Theft Auto 5 and Assassin's Creed 4," he said.

Rockstar has not publically acknowledged that it even has plans to launch the game for PC. When asked about the prospect back in July, the company merely directed people to this statement:

"The only versions of the game that we have announced are for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 which are set for a September 17th worldwide release. We don't have anything to share about the possibility of a next-gen or a PC platform release at this time and we are completely focused on delivering the best possible experience for the consoles people have right now."

It seems those who have been holding out for a PC version of the World Record breaking title from Rockstar will be forced to wait a little longer. At least until after the new year.
