"The Hunger Games" film franchise may end when the final installment "Mockingjay Part 2" debuts on Nov. 20, but fans may be able to visit District 12 and The Capitol soon. Lionsgate, the company behind the Jennifer Lawrence-backed series, is currently planning several theme park exhibits based off its film properties, according to the New York Times.

Lionsgate will set up theme parks in the United States and China that will be built by two separate companies. The production company is planning for areas in Atlanta and Macau. The parks are joining an already announced partnership of an extravagant Lionsgate "zone" that is under construction between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.

In addition to "The Hunger Games" series, the parks will also include "Step Up" inspired dance shows, and attractions based on films like "Divergent" and "Now You See Me." In the future, Lionsgate also hopes to bring the "Twilight" series to the parks as well.

Lionsgate will be following the same model that Warner Bros. used to license its properties to park developers, rather than build the parks itself, according to Entertainment Weekly. While Lionsgate is not the only studio with theme park fever, the world of "The Hunger Games" is not the fun and magical world of "Harry Potter."

The park that is set to open in the Middle East will include a recreation of Katniss' home District 12, a lavish roller coaster that resemble the trains used in the series by The Capitol and a simulation ride designed like the hover crafts in the films. The park is set to open next year.

Specific details on other locations are still unknown, but the Atlanta location will be known as Avatron Smart Park. It will cost around $625 million and is expected to open in 2019, according to TIME.
