Former Chicago Bears defensive lineman Jeremiah Ratliff claimed to be the devil and made multiple death threats after being cut by the team last week, according to the Lake Forest Police report.

It was reported last week that Ratliff was cut after an "animated exchange" with Bears general manger Ryan Pace. Ratliff reportedly showed up to work on Oct. 21 in no condition to work and was sent home, according to Rich Campbell of The Chicago Tribune.

After finding out that he was released, Ratliff reportedly returned to the teams' facility, stating that he needed to gather his belongings. Ratliff said, "He felt like killing everybody in the building," according to the police report.

After Ratliff left the building with his belongings for the second time that day, Bears director of safety and security John Tarpey called the Lake Forest Police. "We had an issue with a player. He left pretty upset, came back and then left again upset. We're a little concerned that he may come back again. So we'd like to have an officer over here, talk to him about it and see what we can do here," Tarpey said on the phone with police, via The Chicago Tribune.

Ratliff returned to Halas Hall shortly later for the third time that day and stated he needed to retrieve his cell phone. During that visit, he claimed to be the "devil" and that he "wished staff member's children would die," according to the police report.

The team officials reportedly told police that they believed Ratliff owned multiple firearms. Ratliff has not returned to the Bears' facility since the incident, and no charges have been filed.
