Kristen Wiig is known for comedic roles in films like "Bridesmaids," but the actress showed off her more dramatic side Monday on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" when she premiered the trailer for her completely fake movie "Crying in a Sweater."

On the late night talk show, Kimmel complimented Wiig for doing both big budget and independent films. The actress then discussed her latest indie film role, which is more dramatic than what audiences have come to expect from her.

"Sometimes I think it would just be better if we couldn't feel," the satirical trailer dramatically starts.

As the clip progresses, Wiig is seen crying in different rooms — and wearing multiple sweaters — as fake reviews like "Witness the rebirth of Kristen Wiig" and "This is the Wiigaissance" pop up.

Back in the studio, after the trailer finished, Wiig and Kimmel were both crying in their own respective sweaters.

"Congratulations," an emotional Kimmel told Wiig of her performance.
