Fans of the iconic "Ghostbusters" series have been on the fence about the all new female-led reboot from director Paul Feig ("Bridesmaids"). But maybe these two photos from the set of the new movie will help inspire some optimism.

In the pictures is our first look at Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon in character and costume. Leslie Jones, who plays the fourth Ghostbuster, was not seen.

In the first pic, we see McCarthy carrying what may be a new type of ghost hunting technology while Kate McKinnon rocks some paint splattered overalls and some mean punk shades. It's some sort of fashion statement, we'll say that.

In a separate scene, Wiig can be seen in an academic plaid skirt and sporty blazer. If we're playing connect the dots, the outfit does remind you of the haunted librarian in the opening scene of the first film.

We don't know a whole lot about this new film, but Dan Akroyd recently said that the new Ghostbusters are "just such different characters, and there's a friction - there's a dynamic there."
